Pretty things

Saw this cute website (UponAFold) from Meiyi's blog. Love it. Especially the ferris wheel pop up card. So i HAD TO blog about it.. Haven't really gone in to explore much. So gonna draw a lot of inspirations upon seeing all these pretty things. Enjoy!

Sound of Silence.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. People often say, seeing is believing. But when I saw you lying there motionless, I still can't believe that you are gone... It was a heart wrenching moment. I tried to hold back my tears. I couldn't. We may not understand why you left, but your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget - All the fun we had playing together when we were kids, my first overseas trip to Genting & KL with you and our family, having lunch together with you and chris at pizza hut after a tiring day at the themepark, chatting about school and what we wanna do in the future.. shopping and having our eyes set on the same pair of jeans.. That holiday trip 6 years ago was the closest I ever got to you. Then we all grew up, met only once a year during new year. But that sweet smile of yours is one thing I will never forget.

It's All Souls Day today... Exactly a month since you were gone...Ever since then, I had this tendency to look up into the sky during the cloudy days... wondering if you are finally in God's grace. But I guess God has given me the answer as I stumbled upon the first reading for 2nd Oct 2010.

"See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to a place I have prepared."

14 years ago, Grandpa's passing away had me making the first sign of the cross in my life. Now, your passing away has left me wanting to attend Sunday Masses even more regularly... Wanting to pray for you as much as I can..

May you rest in peace Jas, in the kingdom of God our Lord.

Google, in celebration of John's 70th Bday

John Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980)- without him, there would have been no Beatles. Today marks his 70th birthday if he were still alive. So google had a short animation done up in memory of John. Well, one good thing about artists...they continue to live even after they die..leaving behind the numerous hits and wonders of his musical talent.

New logo, new layout

In the midst of preparing the new layout for mykindofcard.blogspot.com! Can't wait to share it with all our customers! Will keep you guys updated once the new look is revealed! Ok the logo isn't that new but it's new as compared to the one we started with initially back in 2009 feb!

Tata...After what seemed like a really long wait, I've finally gotten a copy of the final pics from the couple photoshoot taken some time in June... My favourite purple dress, helium balloons, red roses, my dark red swatch watch...all the things I love.. And that definitely includes my very special Mr Wee. So here it is, a tiny portion of the whole album! Thank you all for the comments and praises I've received via facebook. Last but not least, many thanks to Han Thon & TJ from Cream.sg for all the hard work and presenting us with such lovely photos.. a great way to remember the happy times in life.

Colours of life

Lately, I've been busy with so many things on hand... plus i had to squeeze time out from my busy schedule to get my tooth fixed by the dentist: stage one of root canal done..i'm glad there wasn't much pain at all...well let's hope all goes well for the next appointment..

It's already coming to the end of june.. All thanks to God, the things that were scheduled in june all went smoothly... leading me one step closer to one of my goals in life.. Right now I'm pretty excited about what's gonna be happening this coming sunday... I hope the weather will be great on that day.. Just purchased the necessary tools and paper from ArtFriend during lunch time and I'm so gonna get down to preparing a handicraft work that may come in useful on sunday. Will post a pic of it if it turns out successful though..

Anticipation...

Wow im excited... it's May already.. looking forward to so many more things that are ahead in the upcoming days, weeks, months... So many things to plan for...gotta sit down and slowly schedule all my stuff... :D

And not to forget, mykindofcard will be undergoing a revamp for a new look soon...
