A new phase in life

14th Dec 2013- The day we said our vows and exchanged our rings. Yay! We are finally husband and wife! It wasn't easy planning for the wedding but I'm glad everything went really smoothly and both of us truly enjoyed the day as everything went sorta as we planned. A little hiccups here and there thankfully they were all solved pretty quickly. Adapting well to our married life and I'm looking forward to seeing the official photos and final videos from our vendors!

So meanwhile, here's a shot from our church wedding!
PS: Walking down the church aisle towards the love of my life is truly a dream come true.
I'm so in love with this beautiful Church of St Francis Xavier!

Our #Blessed14Dec Wedding Part01- The Planning

Having been together for 8 yrs plus and counting, our wedding has ought to be one of the most memorable day of our lives! Planning a wedding is fun but it definitely isn't an easy job! It involves a lot of research, knowing what is it that you want, and couples should always agree on a comfortable budget together! Oh and first thing you'd need to do after saying "YES" to his proposal, is to discuss about the ideal wedding date! Ours was picked by my parents-in-law. And since the chosen date was coincidentally on my mummy's birthday, and during one of my favourite month of the year, my then fiance (now husband) and I readily agreed to it!

So here's our top list of priorities.

- Wedding Date
- Wedding Venue (Church Wedding for Solemnization and Hotel for Banquet) *
- Actual day Photographer (PG) *
- Actual day Videographer (VG) *
- Wedding Style (Modern/Rustic/Fairytale/Romantic?)
- Budget
- Bridal Boutique

Always remember to try on a few gowns first to see if you can find one you like. Pre-wedding         Photographer and Makeup Artist will be included in this package as well.
Try to bargain for more freebies/poses/photos!)
- Florist (For Church Wedding)
- Marriage Preparation Course (For Catholic Church Wedding)
- Wedding Invites (For Church Wedding. Banquet's invites are usually included in the hotel package)
- Plan your Itinerary for the big day
- Plan your schedule/checklist as you slowly have the things done closer to your big day!

So yup! And not to forget, when the big day is closer, you'd find yourself busy with all the other chinese customary stuff. But yeah, on the overall, it's still really fun. Will be updating Part02 with our Actual Day details and Photos as soon as I'm free!

Cheers,
SJ
