A new phase in life

14th Dec 2013- The day we said our vows and exchanged our rings. Yay! We are finally husband and wife! It wasn't easy planning for the wedding but I'm glad everything went really smoothly and both of us truly enjoyed the day as everything went sorta as we planned. A little hiccups here and there thankfully they were all solved pretty quickly. Adapting well to our married life and I'm looking forward to seeing the official photos and final videos from our vendors!

So meanwhile, here's a shot from our church wedding!
PS: Walking down the church aisle towards the love of my life is truly a dream come true.
I'm so in love with this beautiful Church of St Francis Xavier!

Our #Blessed14Dec Wedding Part01- The Planning

Having been together for 8 yrs plus and counting, our wedding has ought to be one of the most memorable day of our lives! Planning a wedding is fun but it definitely isn't an easy job! It involves a lot of research, knowing what is it that you want, and couples should always agree on a comfortable budget together! Oh and first thing you'd need to do after saying "YES" to his proposal, is to discuss about the ideal wedding date! Ours was picked by my parents-in-law. And since the chosen date was coincidentally on my mummy's birthday, and during one of my favourite month of the year, my then fiance (now husband) and I readily agreed to it!

So here's our top list of priorities.

- Wedding Date
- Wedding Venue (Church Wedding for Solemnization and Hotel for Banquet) *
- Actual day Photographer (PG) *
- Actual day Videographer (VG) *
- Wedding Style (Modern/Rustic/Fairytale/Romantic?)
- Budget
- Bridal Boutique

Always remember to try on a few gowns first to see if you can find one you like. Pre-wedding         Photographer and Makeup Artist will be included in this package as well.
Try to bargain for more freebies/poses/photos!)
- Florist (For Church Wedding)
- Marriage Preparation Course (For Catholic Church Wedding)
- Wedding Invites (For Church Wedding. Banquet's invites are usually included in the hotel package)
- Plan your Itinerary for the big day
- Plan your schedule/checklist as you slowly have the things done closer to your big day!

So yup! And not to forget, when the big day is closer, you'd find yourself busy with all the other chinese customary stuff. But yeah, on the overall, it's still really fun. Will be updating Part02 with our Actual Day details and Photos as soon as I'm free!

Cheers,
SJ

The ups and downs in life

This year is supposed to be an exciting year for us as we prepare for our big day this coming dec. However, there has been many ups and downs in life and moments that left me wanting to cherish the people around me even more. Aug is usually one of my favourite month of the year. But this 16th Aug, my maternal Grandma has left us to be in the good hands of the Lord.

It was heart wrenching. Although we were all aware that she was going to leave us anytime soon especially when her health deteriorated earlier this year...we still felt really really sad when she left. It was the first time I ever witness a loved one passing away right in front of my eyes. The lost of life was quick. It was as though her soul was sucked away from her. Her cheeks became sunken and she was gone.

I miss her. It's been a monthly routine of mine to drop by her house and chit chat with her and spend some quality time with her. And I still remember the smile she had on her face when I told her about my upcoming wedding. She's been a great lady and I'm proud to one of her many grandchildren.

Apr- The busiest month ever since the start of 2013.
Had a brief discussion and meetup with my pre-wedding photographer yesterday and I'm super excited about the shoot itself. Hoping that my enthusiasm will show up more than my tired self.
So here are the final locations:

-Ben & Jerry's at Dempsey Hill
- National Museum
 -Botanic Garden

Am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the booking of the B&J will be okie without any hiccups. It'll be great if I can get one more final confirmation from the managment though. Alright it's gonna be more busy days ahead as we prepare for final gown fitting, trial makeup and work..But for now I shall not be too stressed about it and just focus on being a pretty bride. Yay to a good week ahead.

It's April :D

It's April. 8 more months to our big day! There's a lot of mixed emotions as I'm typing this post. Feeling nervous, excited, eager and so much more! April is gonna be the first of the busiest months of 2013 as I'll be facing all new challenges ahead, a reno plan for our new place and our pre-wedding photo-shoot  So many things i'm looking forward to and I do hope these stress will not wear me down and hopefully i'll still be looking fresh for our photo-shoot in time to come! So now that I've gotten my hair dyed, gelish pedicure done and a set of pretty customized nails for the shoot, I'm now very much excited to meet up with our photographer and make up artist too!

It's still pretty unbelievable  It's almost like magic. As each and every day passes by, we are getting closer to our big day. A big milestone for us and yes I love this magical relationship and I'm truly thankful to have found my fiance.
